KENT NATURAL FOODS COOPERATIVE PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE:

       We believe in operating a responsible co-operative market that provides healthful, natural foods and products at fair prices. Our cooperative will provide bulk, chemical-and-additive free foods and products, that are locally and/or organically grown whenever possible.We believe in cooperation, open processes, information-sharing, community outreach, eduction, and consensus decision making.

    To further these ends, we encourage members and the community to respect the dignity of ourselves and others, without regard to gender, ethnos, religion, politics, sexual preference, place of origin, social, marital, economic, or health status

CO-OP MEETINGS

General meetings are held on alternate Sundays at 6:30 P.M. usually at the store. Meeting times and places are posted on the information board, in the store. Volunteer members are always welcome to join the working committees. These include, Membership-Outreach, Ambiance, Personal-Finance, By-Laws and others. Decisions are reached by consensus, using the five finger method to signal for concerns, Agenda concerns can be added throughout the week, by completing an agenda form. No later than two days before the next meeting. Ask at the register if you would like to bring an issue to the next meeting. Now receive one volunteer hour for attending general membership meetings!

CO-OP POLICIES

      ONE TIME REFUNDABLE MEMBERSHIP LOAN IS: $45.00 This Can be paid in one payment, or $20.00 down and $5..00 installments with subsequent purchases.
      FAMILY MEMBERSHIP: Each adult Member of household (18 years and older) Is expected to purchase a membership, up to four adults.
      BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP: May be purchased for a fee of $90.00 Also payable at $20.00 down and $5.00 installments with subsequent purchases.

Membership entitles you to a 5 % discount on purchases
Receive an additional discount for each hour of volunteer work, up to 20 hours per month, to a maximum of 25%
On bulk or case lot purchases, pay 20% above cost, with prepaid deposit
Frontier Cooperative herbs - 30%
Vitamin and Supplements partial-case orders of six pieces are 40% mark up
